Starting Out: Create a Magnet holder
Skills: In this exercise you will be building a magnet holder! Follow the instructions carefully. If you need help ask your partner and if you are still stuck as your teacher for guidance.
Steps:
1. Open your Tinkercad account in another tab
2. Next, check out the image below to see what you need to do next. Then move to step 3.

3. Your magnet hole needs to be 20.35mm x 20.35mm x 5mm. That is length x width x height.
- The magnets can be purchased here.
4. Your magnet holder needs to be at least 10 high.
5. The rest of the design can be created in various structures as seen above. The key is to have the shape bigger than the hole so it isn't fragile.
6. If you go to print, remember to make the magnet hole a hole and group it so the hole is showing in Tinkercad.
How can you use these in your class?
We have seen them used for attendance, names written in different languages, zones of regulation, stations or centers, bathroom breaks and many more.
